I wanted to list out all of the rescheduling and cancellation policies so you know your options! Know that I’ve put a lot of thought into the policies to make sure I’m being compassionate to both my couples while still being able to still have income in 2021 and 2022 and keep my business afloat. It definitely hasn’t been an easy thing for any of us to navigate, I’m sure! Thanks in advance for understanding where I’m coming from as a business owner, where policies need to be set in place. If your specific situation isn’t listed below, send me an email and we can find an option that works. Due to the amount of people considering or booking postponed dates, I ask that all communication happens via email to make sure no information shared gets lost or misinterpreted!
ORIGINAL PLAN: If your venue is still open on your contracted wedding date and there are no government mandated Shelter In Place (or similar) orders, I’m still open to shooting your wedding! We’d just carry on as normal with a decreased guest list.
2021 RESCHEDULE WITHIN KACEY'S TEAM AVAILABILITY: If you fall within the Shelter in Place (or similar order), your venue is closed, or you have a compromised immune system, all rescheduling fees will be waived for 2021. We’ll first try to reschedule you in the availability of the team member you were originally contracted with. If your contracted photographer isn’t available and you are limited with your options with your venue, Kacey will pair you with another team member.
RESCHEDULING TO 2022: To ensure we can take care of all couples needing to reschedule, I’d prefer for 2021 rescheduling to happen if you are within 60 days of your original wedding date.
OPTION 1: Reschedule full day to new date.
OPTION 2: Split your day into two days. We’ll just allocate the hours between the two days as we see fit!
Saturday date peak season (May through October): $400 non-refundable retainer to save new date.
*Please note that photographer availability does vary and you may be put with an associate if Kacey is unavailable for your new date.
If you originally booked with an associate and choose a peak 2022 Saturday, the rescheduling fee would still be $400.
Friday date peak season (May through October): $400 non-refundable retainer to save the new date.
Any day of the week other than Friday/Saturday peak season (May-October) - no rescheduling fee!
Any day of the week including Saturday January-April or November-December - no rescheduling fee!
*If you pay your final balance on originally scheduled date (instead of 3 days prior to your rescheduled date), I will credit you a free hour of coverage. You also have the choice to pay closer to your rescheduled date, you just wouldn’t get the extra hour.
SOFT HOLDING FOR DATES:
I totally understand and appreciate starting to plan for a backup date. At this point, I’m only soft holding dates. Please limit to one date. I would communicate with you if another inquiry comes in for the date you are hoping for and you’ll have 24 hours to make a decision. After that 24 hours, I’ll be working on a first come first serve basis for official booking. Official booking is confirmed with a new contract signed with the new date.
CANCELLATION OR 2021 RESCHEDULE OUTSIDE OF TEAM AVAILABILITY:
If you choose to cancel or change your date within the year 2021 and my team is unavailable, I will waive any additional remaining payments. Keep in mind, the retainer paid is non-refundable.
